How We Can Plan The Perfect High School Senior Photoshoot | Southern Pines, NC Senior Photographer

Hey there! If you are a high school senior or the mom of a high school senior looking for tips for planning your senior photo session I am here to help. I am Jamie, your local go-to senior photographer and I can help you plan your custom senior photo experience. Planning your senior photo session should not be stressful. Many things go into planning a senior photoshoot and I have spent a lot of time perfecting my process to ensure each senior client with the information to prepare them for a stress-free experience. My mission is to ensure that we capture fun, authentic, and beautiful photos of you that showcase your personality, interests, and accomplishments.

Moms, I understand that this is a significant moment for both you and your daughter. That's why I make sure to include you in the process. We'll work together to ensure these memories are not just captured but cherished.

  1. In-Person Consultation At My Studio In Vass, NC

At Jamie Loomis Photography, we believe in the power of personal connections. Our in-person consultations are more than just meetings; they are opportunities to understand your unique personality, interests, and style. Through face-to-face discussions, we aim to build a rapport, ensuring that your senior photo session is not just a photoshoot but a tailored experience capturing the spirit of who you are. This initial meeting allows us to discuss your vision, answer any questions, and lay the foundation for a stress-free and personalized session that truly reflects your individuality.

If you are not sure of your vision - no worries - 95% of people walk in and are unsure of specifics they would like.

We will begin by finding out more about each other. I will ask you questions about your senior year, interests, hobbies, and style. This will help us uncover what makes you YOU and what is most important about this chapter of your life. These details will help us create meaningful and personalized senior photos.

Usually, this conversation will spark at least one thing that is important to you. It may be an outfit you want to wear, a sentimental item you want to include like grandma’s handmade quilt, a location that is important to you or one you have been dreaming of, a Pinterest inspiration photo with the vibe you love, fun props, furbaby or bestie you would like to have photos with. This begins the planning process. From here we build our plan for locations, outfits, what to include, and any special requests.

2. Choosing The Right Senior Photo Locations

Your senior photos should be as unique as you are, and choosing the right location is the first step in crafting a story that's exclusively yours. Whether you're drawn to the rustic charm of a country setting, the vibrant energy of city streets, or a perfect blend of both, we will find a location that resonates with your personality and style. Picture strolling through the historic streets of Southern Pines or Sanford, capturing the fun vibes of Raleigh and Fayetteville's city streets, enjoying the beautiful gardens in Pinehurst and Chapel Hill, or having fun at local flower farms in Vass and Cameron, or spending golden hour at one of the fields in Broadway. And yes, I'm always ready for a road trip to capture your story, no matter where the road takes us.

3. Wardrobe Selection Tips

Let's talk outfits! Curating the perfect wardrobe is essential to ensure you look and feel your best. I'll provide tips on selecting outfits that complement your chosen location and reflect your personal style. Whether it's the rustic charm of one of our local boutiques, trendy finds from vintage shops, or your go-to look from your favorite store, we'll ensure you look and feel amazing.

4. Personal Touches

I know the importance of feeling comfortable and celebrated during this milestone. My approach is all about creating a fun and relaxed environment where you can truly be yourself. One of the top ways to personalize your senior photo experience is by adding personal touches. Let's infuse your personality into the photoshoot! From incorporating your favorite flowers, favorite accessories, and sentimental items to showcasing your interests with personalized props, we'll make your session uniquely yours.

5. Welcome Packet

The next step after you book our senior session is The Welcome Packet. This packet includes What to Wear Magazine, Session Prep Guide, Senior Session Checklist, and more! These guides include answers to the most frequently asked questions, what works for the most variety, packing tips, and how to prep your skin, nails, and more.

6. The Senior Questionnaire

This is a fun questionnaire that helps me get to know your likes, dislikes, your favorite things, and a section for your parent to make sure they are involved and get what they like too.

7. The Client Lounge

This is a dedicated page on my site that only clients get to view that takes you through each step of the senior experience. On this page, you will be able to see exactly what to expect before the shoot, during the shoot, and after the shoot. This page also has examples of locations so you can be sure to let me know exactly what type of location you want for your photos as well as examples of my most popular products so you can start thinking about how you want to showcase the photos from your session.

Make your senior photos stand out and personal to you.

Your senior year is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and your photos should reflect that. Your senior photoshoot is also one of the few times in your life that you will be photographed by yourself. Let’s create a session that celebrates this milestone and highlights your next adventure!
