Hey there! Welcome back to Jamie Loomis Photography where every photo tells a story and every session celebrates life’s sweet moments. Today I am excited to share one of the most memorable senior photo sessions featuring the amazing Ava! Despite some unexpected rain, Ava’s session turned into an even more fun experience filled with laughter, spontaneity, and beautiful photos captured in a sweet flower field in Sanford, NC.
Senior Session Turns Into A Rainy Day Adventure
Last spring was a bit of a rainy season. We rescheduled Ava’s session twice due to rain and we crossed our fingers the 3rd date would be filled with sunny skies. The day started off overcast but there was no rain in the forecast - O% of precipitation. We met at the studio and the light sprinkle of rain began as we were bringing in Ava’s outfits but everyone wanted to continue with the session. During hair and makeup, the light showers faded in and out but everyone wanted to continue with the plan.
We took a few photos in the studio before going to our next location; a beautiful flower field filled with poppies. I checked multiple weather apps all of which showed no rain at this location in the forecast at all. We chatted about mom jeans, Ava’s favorite things working as a barista, and coffee art.
I am sure you can guess what happened next - the bottom fell out on the way to the flower field. A hard pouring rain that slows traffic but once again the consensus was to keep going. Ava said, “Maybe I am just supposed to have a rainy day senior pictures”. Fortunately, when we arrived the rain slowed to a steady light rain. Thankful for this resilient senior and her seize the day attitude we were able to create these unforgettable memories.
